My "WHY"

My passion & work integrates proven OD and HCM & capacity building frameworks.Knowing today’s realities, requires us to become fully aware of transforming and innovative pressure; including ESG pressures and the growing influence of AI.... on people and performance. This defines our future.


I’m not a "traditional consultant", or a “trainer for hire,” but rather...... a program architect, an insightful trouble-shooter, and a proven specialist facilitator of high-impact learning - who embraces change / transformation initiatives. I like to believe that in some manner, I am a "shape-shifter" - allowing diverse thinking to FLOURISH and to THRIVE in a world of uncertainty.


All of my interventions, are tailored to context, burning issues, and meeting aligned needs at all levels of the OD architecture - strategically, operationally, financially, and optimisng use of human capital and talent development and management.

I met Donald Hjul in 2004, whilst a director of Border Bears (Pty) Ltd and as an Executive (representative) of South African Investments LTD a then shareholder in Border Bears (Pty) Ltd. 


We were introduced through Border Cricket at the time, as Donald was highly recommended and being actively contracted for Organisational Development & support services to Border Cricket.


Border Cricket and Border Bears (Pty) Ltd enlisted the services of Donald in the strategy, business planning and compilation of one of the cricket franchises on offer from Cricket South Africa, at the time. Donald proved to be a valuable contributor drafting a business plan to Border Cricket who tendered for the franchise, together with Easter Province Cricket. The Franchise was won in 2005 and went on to become the Warriors Cricket franchise entity and team.


Over the following 16 years, Donald assisted the broader Eastern Cape in the following strategic business planning and application interventions of rugby and cricket:

  • Rugby joint venture proposal for Border, Eastern Province, and South Western Districts – which went on to become the Spears and later the Southern Kings entity.
  • Application of Border Rugby, Eastern Province, Boland, and South Western Districts rugby joint venture, for the Pro14 expansion and SA Rugby offering

sporting opportunities and business plans; gave focus on increasing sustainable

Mr. Hjul served in this position for a period of just over 3 years between October 1997 and December 2000, there-after electing to leave the company to pursue his independent career.


It must also be stated that during the period March 2002 to February 2OO3; I again had the pleasure, as the Director responsible for Regional Strategy in Southern Africa, to oversee Mr. Hjul's business development work as a consultant in the DR Congo.
